Virtual psychotherapy · New York
Individual psychotherapy for adults navigating trauma, chronic stress, identity, and the patterns that shape how they move through the world.
Connect with RituTherapy can be a space to understand what has helped you survive, to notice what no longer fits, and to practice new ways of relating to yourself and others.
I’m Ritu Agarwal (she/he/ze), a licensed clinical psychologist providing virtual individual psychotherapy to adults in New York. I welcome people from many backgrounds, with particular care for BIPOC and QTPOC communities.
My work is informed by a belief that our minds and bodies find intelligent ways to protect us from experiences that have felt too much to bear. Together, we can approach these patterns at a pace that feels considered and collaborative.
I earned my doctoral degree from the California School of Professional Psychology–San Francisco. My clinical training has included work with veterans, children, and families, as well as higher education. I completed my internship at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and a fellowship in somatics and social justice at Columbia University Irving Medical Center.
There is no single right way to be in therapy. Our work can be exploratory, reflective, and grounded in your strengths, needs, and lived experience.
